Cellphones create new texting illness

Cellphones have created a new illness dubbed texting tendonitis.

South Australian GP Robert Menz reported the case of a 13-year-old girl who walked into his surgery this year with a swollen right forearm. There was no history of trauma, or recalled change of activity", Dr Menz wrote in the Medical Journal of Australia. "Further enquiry revealed that she had been given a mobile phone in December."

HELP - sausage sizzle

Hi All

I have been rung by Mitre 10 Crofton Downs to see if we want to run a sausage sizzle for them on Saturday 17 Dec.

They will provide us with the sausages & BBQ & we provide everything else. We
get all the profits.

I realise that everyone is busy at this time of the year & so could everyone
please contact those in their sections etc that aren't on this e-mail and have
them get back to me if they are available.

Scouts on parade nationally

Congratulations to all Scouts Groups and Districts who are and have taken part in their local Christmas Parades. The parades are an excellent opportunity to be seen out and about in the community.

Most recently members of Hills District (Wellington) were spotted in the Johnsonville Christmas Parade handing out "Scouting Today" leaflets to the crowds of onlookers.
